We all know the term telekinesis or the ability to move objects without an external force being applied to them. You will hear about this concept from people who are either very accomplished in their fields or are just curious about it all, as seen in the movie Avengers Infinity War.

But what is telekinesis, how does it work and whether there is any physical evidence for the power shown on screen? We will be diving into these questions soon so stay tuned!

What Is Telekinesis?

Telekinesis is defined as moving another person without the presence of any outside influence. When people are able to perform telekinesis, they are able to lift an object weighing up to 500 pounds in less than one minute. One study in 2017 reported that a professional athlete can lift 15 tons of weight in under five minutes with no assistance. While you may think that this could only happen in movies and video games, there is nothing fiction in it. Many athletes practice their skills in real life as well, especially those who use sports equipment to train and gain strength faster. Although some other experts believe this skill is even more prevalent than stated above, many continue to report success in doing it from actual use.

While this might sound unbelievable, science has proven that humans possess incredible abilities when they do push themselves. Scientists have researched the development of muscles, ligaments, cartilage, tendons and bones, which are critical components of movement. They have discovered that through genetics, experience and body mechanics, we as human beings were created with extraordinary talents, abilities and potentials that cannot be replicated by machine. So if it can be done with physical exertion and skill then it makes sense that it would be possible to do it with mental exertion as well. Both can play out as movements, such as lifting more than your own bodyweight, walking with little support or pushing off-the-cuff objects with no resistance during an activity. All of these things have been studied by scientists, including Dr. Kevin Burns who is widely regarded as one of the most influential medical professors in American history. With his team, he worked incredibly hard to show us in our daily lives that these abilities exist and that they can help people live better, longer and healthier lives. He has published numerous studies on the topic and believes that many people can master some form of telekinesis. His book explains exactly how telekinesis works and proves that humans still possess great amounts of untapped potential. As such, this book is considered to be among the best selling books on Amazon and continues to impact the field of medicine for years to come. Most recently, his research on telomeres has helped many patients improve their health using telomere treatments. However, while he has

written many excellent books in recent years, I do wonder if the scientific data behind telekinesis would be sufficient to make someone really successful. Would you feel motivated to dedicate your time to such research if science is not accurate?

The question of telekinesis has been an interesting conundrum between biologists and doctors for centuries. Some believed there was no possibility of anyone ever having the ability to control or manipulate anything. Others saw tremendous benefits to living a healthy, long and happy life. A popular saying goes that if we put ten thousand feet between us and God there would

likely never be a bad day. If we were able to move people, animals and goods anywhere in the world within an hour it would seem impossible. These perceptions changed when scientist Richard Thompson, along with his wife Dorothy, discovered a mechanism that allowed them to control a moving hand. Eventually, researchers began testing the theories, believing that eventually telekinesis would become possible. And after watching countless videos and reading countless articles, the reality set in. Everyone was capable of controlling and manipulating something in any given location with minimal effort. While telekinesis did not come overnight, it came with

training and was discovered by its inventor, John Hawkins. Even then, Thompson had trouble convincing others of his findings considering they were based in mere speculations. No one tried to disprove him, however, as many others believed in his belief that telekinesis was already present. Nowadays, telekinesis is recognized as common knowledge and used in everyday life. There are many uses for the technology, including being used by fitness enthusiasts to improve their workouts, helping people communicate with loved ones, giving children therapy, offering services that help people find lost possessions and much more.
